A passionate designer ready to work, learn and grow.

Becoming an architect has been a lifelong dream of mine. I often think about when at age 14, while working for my grandfather, I installed the doorknobs and cabinet handles for a building in its final stage of construction. When considering how the building would function without even these small pieces, I grasped one of the most important lessons of my career. Every little bit that goes into the final building is paramount to the overall structure, and every component adds functionality to the building. Through this, I gained an appreciation for the details, not just the big picture. That experience continues to shape my outlook as a designer, and it inspires me to always follow through to an outstanding finished product.

In addition to my design studies at Syracuse University, I worked to gain practical skills by serving as director of the school’s AIAS Freedom by Design program.  There, I worked with the team to develop and help construct the Play Perch, an innovative outdoor classroom for special needs children.  To complement my design studies, I furthered my knowledge of the building industry with a minor in real estate at the Whitman School of Management.

Since the completion of my degree, I have worked diligently as a designer and project manager on a wide array of project types.  From ground-up commercial and residential to interior alterations and adaptive re-use of existing structures, I have been involved in every stage of the architect’s role. Working at a small firm has afforded me valuable experience initiating new projects, negotiating contracts, and billing for the firm’s work.  Working simultaneously in a project management, production, and firm operations capacity has exposed me to all aspects of the business, and has informed my perspective in becoming a better all-around architect.
